Pollen8 runs on software we build ourselves. Ecosystem Builder, Advocate, and Substrate aren't slideware — they're internal tools our own team uses every week to run client engagements, and increasingly they're becoming products in their own right. As our full stack engineer, you'll own a meaningful share of that codebase from day one.
This is a generalist role at a small company: you'll ship UI, design schema, write server logic, and occasionally debug a flaky deploy, often all in the same week. You'll work closest with the founders, so the distance between an idea and it shipping is short — sometimes a single conversation.
What you'll do
- Build and maintain our React/TypeScript frontend and Postgres-backed services
- Ship features the team uses in production every day, not just internal demos
- Design data models for new tools as our GTM playbooks evolve
- Work directly with the founders on product direction and prioritization
- Keep an eye on performance, reliability, and code quality as the surface area grows
What we're looking for
- 3+ years building production web applications end to end
- Strong TypeScript and React fundamentals — comfortable owning a feature from schema to UI
- Experience with relational databases (Postgres or similar) and writing your own migrations
- Comfortable in a small team where you'll wear more than one hat
Nice to have
- Experience with TanStack (Start, Router, Query) or similar full-stack React frameworks
- Familiarity with Supabase or another Postgres-as-a-service platform
- A track record of shipping 0-to-1 internal tools, not just maintaining existing ones
